Fulc: Void EP

Although its now two or three years since nu-metal brought guitars and rock back into the mainstream, there has been a resurgence of interest lately with bands who are mixing the archetypal heavy rock sound with early nineties classic grunge influences. Still predominantly US-driven, a number of UK bands have emerged into the national scene, whilst Leeds has been lucky to have produced some high quality unsigned contenders. Now Leeds can add Fulc to that list, following their summer relocation from Scunthorpe. "Dolly" is an intense opener, a bubbling verse that bounces along to an interestingly simple drum beat and guitar riff, whilst the explosive metal guitar quickly envelops a catchy chorus - "You didn't play the game right" rings through in fuck you rock fashion. This EP comes highly recommended.
