Duels

pop rock

Vocals: Jon
Guitar: Jim
Keyboards: Katherine
Bass: Jon
Drums: James

Asking fans of the band to sign up as "Young Believers"; playing songs that base themselves in a world part Bowie's "Diamond Dogs", part Hesse's "Steppenwolf"; a live show that has been described as "something to behold". This Leeds based band has a long history together due to the fact that three are family members; guitarist Jim is the brother of front man Jon and on keyboards is cousin Katherine. With a sound taking in such wide ranging influences as the English psychedelia of Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd and The Pretty Things, the pathos fuelled story telling of The Kinks and The Smiths, through to the aggressive styling of The Adverts and The Stranglers, Duels offer up something truly unique.
