Third stone satellite are a class indie band i saw them at the royal park cellars on the 18th of october it was a brilliant gig i would go see them again. does anybody know of any future dates they have around leeds?

Caught a glimpse of this band on WEDNESDAY 5TH at the Vine in leeds.Great original tunes&Melodies,Very tight performance, will definately catch them at their next gig at the primrose.Keep up the good work! 10/10.

Is it just me or does this whole thread read annoyingly "false", like the band itself are writing self-congratulatory comments? Whether or not this is true - and I hope its not - that's just how it looks to me and I guess I can't be alone thinking this... ? It seems to me that by the past list of winners this band comp is pretty sewn up. What is Dave at LMs's relationship with lets say prep H? and Ridgevex or what ever they are called?Seems to me that change is just a concept that this site may not be used to.If you want to know the background of this band why don't you find out before launching false alligations. Try calling Steve Kind at the Royal Park cellars who asks The Satellites back to headline time and time again.
As for whos voting,a lot of people that have come along to our gigs have later become friends, so the voting may have some of them placing their votes-which band on here doesn't have people they know voting for them???I guess that you should enclose a special clause saying nobody that knows these bands can vote. Which i think you would agree would make your voting pretty pointless??If justice is to be done-dave check the facts with people that know us-ask steve kind for example how many people wehave following us and then i guess u will know- i've had my blurt-andy

I'd like to speak as a friend and ever present follower of 3ss, i have spread the news of the excellent web site of LMS to all the ppl i know with web access,as a place for giving ppl like us a way of voicing our opinions on the unknown excellence of music in our beautiful city, if it is not appropriate for us to do so then why do you ask us for "our shout". Fair play to TSS if they "win", but that really has nothing to do with my comments on this discussion.

morrisey - I have no worries with people writing their opinion, I have objections to band members writing comments on their own band pretending to be "general people". To a lesser extent I have objections to one person writing a series of comments pretending to be different people. You're right, people can say what you want, which gives me the same right to say that I think "underhand" self promotion sucks. If a band is really that good people will find out. We've been through this on the other forum before, but self hype (or by close friends) at times does more harm than good to the general impression people have of that band. Dave,of course the band of the month is a healthy fun competition as you highlighted with you"win" sentence in your last posting, which band wouldn't want to be known as band of the month by this website?You want to think yourself proud that bands want to be part of this site.Anyway, why don't you get down to the primrose tonite,put your hand in your pocket,and prepare to be WOW'ed by one of the best bands in the area.
p.s.I suppose you will be tarnishing the other bands discussion pages with allegations of unfairness just to even things up??mmm i wonder???

As I've already said, I have no comment to make on the "band of the month", who's won in the past, who's winning now, nor did I make any in my original post. I hadn't even checked the Top 10 since last month, although I have of course done so now to see what you could possibly have been talking about because your obscure reply threw me a little. And yes. I would join any discussion if I felt I really wanted to - as is any member's right - be it to post a positive or negative opinion I may have an urge to express.
