Ok, im sorry guys to break some hearts here, but last night i thought you were pretty awful, in fact i thought you were worse than the first band, who weren't particulary offensive, just average harmless, and like anesthetic.Personally i hate it when ppl criticise a band yet dont put anything constructive....so here goes; the bassist and drummer really need to be in time with each other, tighter than a Swedish pornstar's pussy should be the aim really, because man they should be the engine room, the bass drum was screaming for some double kick pedal action too, but i know that double pedals can be really expensive etc.....the riffs to the songs on guitar didn't seem to be very eye catching as well, don't try to be completly original in that sense...borrow ideas from your favourite bands, i think a super duper pedal (overdrive/Superoverdrive) is needed too, the settings were weedy that they were set too,the singer was ok in places, but again practicing with techniques with her voice wouldn't go amiss, and last but not least songs structures, for me there didn't seem to be any real sort of song structure that made me want to say...i want to listen to more....i know its hard starting out, and sorry if im coming across a little harsh, im only trying to help, i know its hard to believe, but Saving Lenny didn't use to be too far from the inexperience shown last night. however you should deffenetly learn from them and look at your own mistakes as well as your good points, keep trying because its better than sitting on your ass and doing nothing, but just think about what i siad perhaps....feel free to criticise The Black Helicopters any time you want, Sean Black XxX

Cheers for the constructiveness there. I was lazy with my amp last night really, normally sounds a lot more powerful than that. I also agree with the point on the song structures (we're working on it!). However i disagree with your advice to borrow ideas from my favourite bands, in my opinion that sort of thing usually happens subconsciously. If i actually think about it, it might come out as more of a rip-off than an influence. If you see what i mean? I would rather sound original if i can Anyways we've only been gigging 6months (been together a year like rai said) ...check us out in another 6 months! (or sooner if you like! ) ~ we writing whenever we can so we'll probably different again next time you see us. As for the black helicopters... haven't seen you yet, but hope to find out what you're like soon (or else how can i possible criticise back? ) j/k ... anyways, later im off to revise :S 
i get your point with the rip off thing cos i had that problem with The alamo, we couldn't rip anything off, but as Noel Gallagher says its best to be kinda like a crow and steal little bits from over nests and add that to your own...what are your influences anyhow?Sean Black Attacked X
I don't agree that my drums are "screaming out" for a double bass drum pedal. I think thats just silly.You don't need expesive things to make you sound good!! I could get one if i wanted to! Thanks for the criticism anyways...It's not what i wanted to hear after everyone told us we were really good but i do appreciate it!
mmmm but think when your really successful and you put out an album that you think is good, yet it gets pammed by the critics....u can't have it both ways, and im not hear to tell you what you want to hear, im here to try and say what i feel. Personally i prefer criticism, because it usually shows where i'm/or my band are going wrong so we can correct it, too easy to have everyone saying that was really good....u guys seen Catylyst yet?or RoboChrist?The point about the double kick pedal, wasn't about expenisive equipment (i realised that as soon as i wrote that it could come accross like that, i mean i haven't even got one after having it pinched at the cockpit way back in June), it was just a progressive idea into the relms that you could go....perhaps?and if your gunna be metal a double pedal certainly wouldnt hinder, like i siad anyhow, check Catylyst...Dave is probably the best (one of), on the Leedsmusicscene, followed by the guy from Milf.
