Jon Gomm

Singer-songwriter and virtuoso guitarist, described by Acoustic Magazine as "One of the world's most successful, gifted and inspirational guitar players"

Jon Gomm is a singer-songwriter and acoustic solo performer, with an incredible virtuoso guitar style, where uses one acoustic guitar to create drum sounds, basslines and sparkling melodies all at the same time. The emphasis is still on the soulful vocals and songwriting however, and his original material is influenced by everything from Robert Johnson to Radiohead, Roni Size to Joni Mitchell.

Press quotes:

"Sheer bloody genius... sublime, impassioned songwriting" Sandman Magazine

"We have seen the future of acoustic guitar playing, and it is called Jon Gomm" Blues Matters

"One of the world's most successful, gifted and inspirational guitar players" Acoustic Magazine

"If you closed your eyes there'd be an ensemble playing... A huge emotional range, swinging between sentimental and just plain mental. This is style and content, solo work at its best" LeedMusicScene.com

"The most inspiring virtuoso guitar performance it has ever been my pleasure to witness... with a voice to die for" Drowned in Sound

"This guy has it all - great heartfelt vocals, inspired and original songs, and guitar playing as good as you will ever hear. The new Hendrix." ReviewCentre.com

Jon's new album is in production and will be available in 2008

A few reviews good on here, but what do you think of the video that's available to watch from these pages? Make you want to go out and buy?

Yep, but still it's that extra £2 that's annoying me. May just buy it anyway unless it turns up on ebay....

You can buy it from his gigs for a tenner, apparently.

Are the CDs signed by the great man himself?

Well, apparently he signs them on request (including those sold from the website). But apparently he signs them: "eternally yours, little-jonny-pants x x x ", which is a bit much.

Hi Gibson. I think you've posted that in the wrong place, unless it's a blatant attempt to steal my fans.
