Is swearing really the right way to emphasise your points? There's a good overall writing style on this site and none of it relies on effin & blindin!

I thought it worked pretty well in expressing an attitude to (and of?) the band and their would-be detractors. In some other places it has become so routine that it doesn't work anymore - it just makes the wriitng look lazy.

With regard to Black Wire:- are these people from the Nottingham area by any chance, or are they a Leeds band? The reason I ask is that as someone who is *occasionally* involved in putting on gigs in the Barrow and Furness area, over here in SW Cumbria, I was recently contacted by somebody who was touting for gigs by a band called 'Black Wire', but they're from Nottingham. Are we on about the same band, I wonder? If so it'd be interesting to hear from anyone else who's seen them, for an opinion: (I'm waiting on their demo at the present time, so I know zilch about them)... e-mail me, Derek White at zak_blakk@yahoo.com if you have any answers. Thanks.

If you go to their site (follow the link from their band profile page on this site) you'll find the following text:
"website for the leeds band black wire. featuring thomas greatorex, dan wilson and simon borg".

Now then. A hell of a lot of tripe has been talked has been talked about this lot, a lot of it on the boards of this lil' site. For fuck's sake. Would it be okay if they were less "fashionable", musos? They just wear jeans, t-shirts and Converse for fuck's sake. It's hardly Nicky Clarke is it? Dudes, get over it, you're all sounding old, fat and jealous. Oh yeah, they use a DRUM MACHINE as well. Gasp. Who's heard of it, eh? All this newfangled blasted technology...
