Dogs Die In Hot Cars: I Love You 'Cause I Have To

Bang-boom-bing-bam drum clatter + crazy chipmunks belting out 'I love you' repeatedly = assaulting introduction to sliver of barmy pop with distinctly nasty undertones. 'I love you 'cause I have to'? Well, cheers, guys, I'd like to have your babies and all that, too.

With beeps, blips and a blimmin' organ wobbling excitedly in the background, this track is laden with character, jerky innovation and plain weirdness.

Chirpy-chirpy-cheep-cheep happy-go-lucky tunes are coupled with knowingly-vicious lyrics - 'Sometimes I want to commit crime, cheat on the ones I love, steal money from my mum and dad and break their hearts and make them mad' ('Please Describe Yourself', B-Side). All this whilst you're bouncing around the beach in manner of Skippy the Bush Kangaroo immersed in giddy off-beat guitar euphoria? Suffice to say the product of all this is a slightly schizophrenic, dangerously deranged and criminally short gem of a single.
