You know where you say "you feel like you've heard it before and it was probably better the first time"?
I reckon (and have thought this for a long time) that originality sounds good. Even if you've lived on Mars, came down to earth and heard The Stones it would sound amazing because they were fuelled by the power of invention.
Unilke The Black Crowes, who sound fine but don't have that spark of genius.
In some ways, I think not only can you hear (or somehow feel) that originality, it can be argued that it is what separates music that is art from music that is not.

Are you talking to me?

Not specifically, no. But if you wanna make something of it, lets go, punk-ass-nu-metal-loving-spandex-wearing-Alaistair-McGowan-quite-enjoying-especially-the-david-beckham-bits-and-sometimes-rory-bremners-politics-get-in-the-way-of-the-humour.
Are you coming to the Love Apple on Sunday?

I believe so. I've even pursuaded a few people to come along. I've hyped you up so i expect a good show which includes break dancing

If Jet didn't exist then "I Believe" would be an all-you-can-eat buffet of rock but instead it's hard not to imagine those talentless wankers churning out their Vodafone song. Though if you do manage to block them out then any dedicated follower of big riffs and good old rock and roll might just be able to get their teeth into this juicy affair.
