Kaiser Chiefs to play SXSW 2005 ...

Kaiser Chiefs have been announced on the line up for SXSW 2005 in Austin, Texas. "South By Southwest" is an annual conference and festival for web, music and film industries. Amongst hundreds of other bands, across fifty stages, the line up also includes Against Me!, The Dears, Death From Above 1979, Dogs Die in Hot Cars, The Donnas, The Go! Team, Hot Hot Heat, Billy Idol, Nada Surf, The Raveonettes, Sleater-Kinney and Manchester's The Longcut.

In other news, the band will be playing this Friday (7th January) at Joseph's Well with all proceeds going to the Disaster Benefit Fund for the countries hit by the Asian Tsunami.

Kaiser Chiefs recently announced the completion of their debut album "Employment", scheduled for release on 7th March on the B-Unique label.

The album will be preceded by the re-release of "Oh My God" on 21st February.
