Holly Taymar: Less Than Nothing

No no no no, and again no!! "Who is this aimed at?" has to be the question posed. A collection of rather lame jazz show tunes sung by the brat girl who was in stage school and still believes in her mother's own hype. This is 10 songs of painfully misplaced energy from start to finish. Miss Taymar has a decidedly smiley American accented show tune voice worthy of an amateur production of "Annie", however this professionally packaged, managed, promoted CD is styled as to paint her as York's answer to Joss Stone. The record does at least lay claim to possibly the worse duet ever committed to tape - if you can get through "On My Way" with out a wince then you've done well.

Mums and dads reading the Daily Mail will sigh and say, "I wish our daughter was as NICE as Holly Taymar", the rest of us will just scratch our heads. "Now let's jazz it up and have us a ball" says Holly in her inlay notes... "No let's not" say the rest of us.

You love her. You want a copy of the CD so you can kiss her face on the picture. You want to marry her and have her sing you to sleep at night. YOU ARE SICK, stu, SICK
