The Yards: Forget Your Regrets

Man, The Yards really did draw the short straw when it comes to 'The' bands names didn't they? I can't think of many nouns that are left but 'The Yards'?. Anyway, the track. They sound like Starsailor which is never a good thing, but they're bearable, if a little tedious and dull. 'Forget Your Regrets' starts off in a Raveonettes fashion with the bass rattling out a simple riff while the rest of the song pays its dues to the likes of The Verve, Velvet Underground and co. without much of an identity. Track 2, although claiming to be live is lying. The only resemblance to being live is a noise that sounds like something off a BBC sound effects CD at the end. This song sounds even more like Starsailor. Hardly bowled over by the single then, it's pleasant but nothing to get excited about.
