You would have to be having a really good time to enjoy this album or think you should be enjoying this album because everyone else is, because it's not very good

Experience this album how I believe it's intended to be experienced (ie live gig, indie club) and you'll get it.
If not, then you probably won't.

Sorry looking for the whole package myself - By the way which bits of the music press have been having a go a the album? (genuine question - as I've only seen positive reviews so far - which aded to the dissapointment when I actually heard it)

Chris Woolford wrote...
Neither the NME or Q gave it particulary great reviews. I might be wrong but I think Q gave it 2/5.

Chris Woolford wrote...
I take that back slightly. The NME gave it 8/10 didn't they.
Still Q dissed it.

Not that the NME is a hype based paper and Q is an unbiased respected reviewer

Chris Woolford wrote...
Indeed. But Q is for the oldies and The Cribs are for the kids.
Anyway it's a 4/5 in my book. End of.

Fucking ace album, whether experienced live or in a club. It's just shambolic, energetic sugary pop. Wonderful.

Oops, that was me. I forgot TheAceOfStace was the last person to log in on my computer. Sorry!

As I sit down to write this review I find myself remembering last night at The Cockpit watching a hundred young trendies letting themselves go crazy to tracks on this album such as Hey Scenesters!, Mirror Kissers and The Wrong Way To Be.
