Hot Hot Heat: Bandages

All bets are off. Vancouver Island quartet Hot Hot Heat will be your new favourite band by the end of the year. Bringing dancing shoes back into rock music, Bandages is the retro-rock single of the year that 1981 forgot to award. With its Robert Smith-like vocals, and funk driven new-wave melodies there's little wonder they are being talked about alongside Radio 4, Liars and Electric 6 as this year's The Strokes. Making punk go pop is one thing, but with the reggae in the bridge and the additional hint of emo, it's sure to get those Get Up Kids get up and dance.
