some facts:
- I didnt want to focus on uni, i was going to uni (4 hours away). Maintaining a good band relationship would have been impossible, and would have seriously hindered any progress.
- There was no 1 single contract or contract of any type. Ofcourse i dont expect a big deal.
- Im still good friends with the band, and there was no bitterness about me leaving the band. It was an extremely hard decision to take especially because we were such a close group. After 3 years in the band it wasnt about 'bottling out'.
Maybe you should write your next review based on facts. Fairy.

What an odd way to start a review. Were you asked to review the music on the CD or the private lives of the band? If not the latter then is it really your place to pass judgement?
On a seperate note, I've heard this CD by the way and it's very good stuff.

* just for info, before this article was posted I reviewed its content/opening para and assumed it to be in jest, otherwise I'd have asked for it to have been rephrased *

I didn't mean to cause any offence in the review and can't believe some people have taken it so seriously. It was not an intentional personal attack. I do not know either Kram or Jack Peat and apologise to Jack, Jack's family, friends, pets and university chums for any upset. It was merely a talking point from the bio that was sent along with the CD (Which claimed a 1 single contract offer) and, as Dave noted, was made in jest. I enjoyed the CD and wish both Kram and Jack well!

Perhaps you should make the irony a little clearer in future.

Ah this has all got a bit silly! Erm... there was a plan to release our single from an independent Leeds label, which was shelved before it really got off the ground as we knew Jack was likely to leave. We had planned to release after Jack had left but things didn't go to plan right away so it was cancelled. We are now planning a release in January '06. As for Jack, he knows how much we appreciate all he did with us, and what a good time we had doing what we loved, and still do love. He's not a fairy! I understand the comments were in jest and also understand why Jack might be offended. I think it's just a case of misunderstanding. Thanks alot to Scott for the review, we were very pleased with your kind words! Case closed (i hope!)

Jack Peat is a fairy. He used to be the drummer in Kram but as they were offered a record contract for one single he bottled out and wanted to focus on University. It may only have been one single but who expects bands to start off their careers with multi-million 5-album deals and the keys to the city? The only thing that needs concentrating on in Uni is drinking, sleeping (around if possible) and putting off getting a 'real' job.
