Dance To The Radio to curate the opening night at Leeds Festival 2008

For the second year running, Leeds-based record label Dance To The Radio will curate the opening night at Leeds Festival 2008. Following last year's successful event headlined by ˇForward, Russia! the label, home to The Pigeon Detectives, have brought together some of the most exciting new talent from the north.

Headlining the night will be recent Dance To The Radio signings Grammatics, fresh from recording their debut album. Also playing the night are Dinosaur Pile-up, Doncaster band The Wallbirds, Scotland's finest Broken Records and Leeds band Wintermute.

The night will be rounded off with DTTR DJs.

Recently tipped by The Sunday Times, Grammatics have made available a free track. Download 'New Franchise' from their official website www.grammatics.co.uk.

"There have been rumours flying around that The Pigeon Detectives are doing a secret set at Reading Festival. But the band's label, Dance To The Radio, have confirmed that the band are jumping up to support their label mates and friends of the label and are to play a half hour set at 20:50 on the Dance To The Radio stage at Leeds Festival on Thursday night."
