Biffy Clyro: Mountains

Biffy Clyro have been releasing stuff left right and centre over the past year or so, ever since album 'Puzzle' got great exposure and mainstream success. This is the latest offering from the band, which will apparently be a one off release before a new album comes out sometime (we expect) in 2009.

'Mountains' sounds somewhat spiritual. 'I am the mountain, I am the sea' are words from the numerous-times repeated chorus, perhaps talking of us all being part of this one great world. Perhaps there's another meaning. The verses are a tad forgetful, but indeed the chorus, as we've come to expect from Biffy Clyro, are powerful, gigantic infusions of distinctive sound. Overall though, it's all a bit average, and is probably only released to keep the fans happy and coincide with their late summer festival appearances at Reading and Leeds.
