So first things first I was slightly amused that four acts of this calibre had agreed to play the Ackroyd Street Working Men's Club, yet still due to the hype like many others couldn't resist the opportunity so bought a ticket from Crash Records for £2.50 (cheap cheap) just to see!

A gig in aid of 'A GOOD CAUSE' eh? (the 'good cause' in question being Wheatfields hospice). Thankfully tonite's gig and the Junction 47 II CD it is designed to promote owe more to the 'Help' album than they do to 'Live Aid' - bringing together genuinely good bands from Leeds to do what they do best - play quality music with scarce a lighter-waving ballad featuring a children's choir in sight...

I have to say I was pleased that this event was taking place, my 82-year-old gran had a full right mastectomy to fight breast cancer only 3 years ago, and I have lost an Aunt to cancer.
