Apologies to MABEL BLUE for missing the first half of her set, but boy did I like what I heard. I was a little later than usual (busses to blame again!) and when I opened the cellars door I couldn't get in there were so many people.
Hardly killing the buzz like their name suggests, these Leeds lads inject life into their brand of hardcore punk and 50's rock and roll with the addition of a sax and a trumpet, along with the odd "Oi".
"Lonely" imbeds itself in my head immediately. Unfortunately it's because it has the worst guitar lick ever.

Tonight was going to be another boring Monday night in as usual. I had planned to go the Faversham to see Four Day Hombre but as I hadn't got a clue where it was, and each of the maps I tried looking at all have different things on them, so I had resigned myself to not going.
In amongst the punks, skaters and frightening ska types in the local scene sit Beautiful Feet, an altogether more relaxed and calming bunch of guys, playing acoustic guitars and singing delicate songs about the brighter things in life.

Firstly I would like to begin by giving the woman on the end of the West Yorkshire Metro enquiries line a beating with a stick for knowing nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, about how to get anywhere in Leeds and particularly anywhere involving bus routes 51, 51a, 52, 52a, 53, 56, 74 and 95.
A hop skip and a jump into the next county and you will find these suave lads, who go by the name Ejectorseat.

Whilst the 'Rhubarb Triangle' historically describes that polygonaceae-rich patch of land between Wakefield, Rothwell and Morley, I suspect that this compilation celebrates the musical output of the first-named metropolitan outpost.
Tonight may be billed as 'Forest of Sound Vs Gizeh Records', but the musically complementary and socially affable dynamic between the two rooms, and quite literal musical-chairs of collaboration going on in the Packhorse, negate any connotations of rivalry.
