The slightest thing about this CD is the relative frailness of the songs themselves. The tunes are gentle modulations around a couple of notes that suit the singer's range.
I get hayfever. Real bad, sometimes. But this particular strain of Pollen is infectious and debilitating in the best possible way - it will make you 1) sing (uncontrollably and loudly) and 2) stand there in shock unable to do a thing except sniff, your eyes watering, but for an entirely different reason to that large and inconsiderate yellow field a few streets away.

My first review for the site was really over indulgent in length, so I'll try to keep this one as short as possible.
I wish I could start this review in the same way Polaris start this eponymous album of theirs. Because then you'd understand exactly what it was I was setting out to do.
Firstly I would like to begin by giving the woman on the end of the West Yorkshire Metro enquiries line a beating with a stick for knowing nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, about how to get anywhere in Leeds and particularly anywhere involving bus routes 51, 51a, 52, 52a, 53, 56, 74 and 95.
Tonight may be billed as 'Forest of Sound Vs Gizeh Records', but the musically complementary and socially affable dynamic between the two rooms, and quite literal musical-chairs of collaboration going on in the Packhorse, negate any connotations of rivalry.
